PBS Kids PBS Kids provides students with games and activities to practice reading and phonics skills. Flippity Flippity will take some parent involvement. You can make online flashcards and game boards to review first grade skills in any subject area. Storyboard You can create a storyboard with characters, backgrounds, text, and shapes. Blabberize (will need a microphone) This is a wonderful tool for creating a positive attitude to practice fluency. You upload a picture, add a mouth, adjust where the mouth is, and then add audio to make the picture talk. How cool! Book Flix Students can go online and read books from scholastic. One thing that I learned from my courses with technology is how motivating it can be to read on the internet versus from a book. Might as well practice something fun! |
